About the Trek This five day trekking lets us observe the two most spectacular faces of Aconcagua.

We will first walk to Plaza Francia, South Wall base camp. There, after walking through glaciers surrounded by amazing mounts, we´ll enjoy its impressive 3000mts of altitude.

After that we´ll walk a long way up to Plaza de Mulas Base camp, which after such an effort, will reward us with an incredible view of Aconcagua´s West Wall at sunset and it´ll give us the chance to spend some time with mountaineers from all over the world that get ready to reach the summit. .

Itinerary:

Day 01 · Penitentes - Confluencia
Departure from Penitentes. Transport to Horcones. Arrive to the Aconcagua Provincial Park, to the control post (Ranger Station) next to "Laguna de Horcones." Start of the trekking tour through the stream of the Horcones river. During the trekking lunch break. Continuation to Confluencia campsite. Dinner and night rest. Accommodation in tents.
Trekking duration: 4 hs.
Accommodation: Tents –Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Día 02 · Confluencia - Plaza Francia
Breakfast. Trekking towards Plaza Francia. With views of the imposing Southern Wall of the Aconcagua. Lunch break and return to Confluencia. Dinner and overnight camping.
Trekking duration: 8 hs.
Accommodation: Tents –Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Day 03 · Confluencia - Plaza de Mulas
At early morning after breakfast continuation towards Plaza de Mulas going up Horcones Superior river. Lunch on the way. Arrival at Plaza de Mulas Base Camp (4370 m) at foot of "Gigant of America". Dinner and overnight camping. Trekking duration: 8 hs.

Day 04 · Plaza de Mulas
Breakfast. During the day, trekking on Plaza de Mulas sourroundings overcrossing the Horcones Superior Glacier. Lunch and visit the Base CAmp were hundred of expedition all around the world set up their tents. Dinner and nightrest in tent. Trekking duration: 3 hs.

Día 05 · Plaza de Mulas - Puente del Inca
Breakfast. Departure towards Penitentes. Arrival to Horcones Ranger station Parck check-out. Visit of Puente de Inca natural monument. Transport to Penitentes. End of services.
Trekking duration: 8 hs.
Accommodation: Tents –Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

The proposed itinerary can be changed due to weather conditions o other forced situations that put in risk the group security. The guides have the authority to change the program according to their criteria. You can be sure the changes are to maximize your safety. And they are based on our guides knowledge and experience.

Professional Guides
We are all professional, experimented and highly qualified guides, with degrees and licenses from organisms that guarantee their special training, graduates from the Provincial School for Mountain and Trekking Guides (EPGAMT), the only school that specializes on the Aconcagua, accredited in the Argentine Association for Mountain Guides (AAGM) and members of the Professional Mountain and Trekking Guides (AGPMT). Some of the guides have licences from the UIGAM.

Transportation
All the transportation are in private vehicle.
Transport Penitentes – Horcones, Aconcagua Park Entrance – Puente del Inca.

Dormitory Tents
Four (4) nights of lodging at double tents. We provide our clients with the best mountain tents available, equipped with comfortable mats. Also we have exclusive bathroom for our clients.

Meals
All meals are included during the trekking. Dinners and lunchs are prepared daily by the cooks. Our meals are energy balanced with all your body requires for the trekking. We are also prepared to elaborate special meals, vegetarian and other kinds.

Communications
There is permanent communication, 24 hours a day, through VHF, UHF radios, Satellite Telephones, between Camps and Penitentes and Mendoza. This guarantees a safety experience.

Dining Domes
The kitchen and dining domes are completely equiped with tables, chairs, dishes, electricity and heat, to provide the highest comfort and quality services. They are attended by our Camp Team, in charge of preparing meals and of offering an excepcional service, a friendly treatment.

Medical Equipment
Our Camps have their own first aid kits for an immediate response under any situation.
